Northwestern Publishing House (NPH)

Our synod’s publishing house offers resources and materials for growing and strengthening the faith of Christians at any stage in their lives. As well as printing and selling these resources, NPH occasionally publishes blogs on relatable, scriptural topics.

Marriage Moments

Every marriage has its “moments.” That’s why marriages need moments of encouragement and refreshment. Marriage Moments are short, weekly videos highlighting one Biblical marriage thought accompanied by a discussion question.

WELS Devotions

On our synod’s website you can find several different devotions tailored to particular situations, such as families, teens, and those serving in the military. They also offer a devotion for each day of the week.

Forward in Christ

Forward in Christ (FIC) is the official magazine of WELS. The magazine was first started in 1914 as The Northwestern Lutheran. FIC shares stories of faith and news from our synod. FIC also provides an in-depth look at important biblical truths while striving to inspire its readers to live lives of Christian service.

WELS Connection

Each month, our synod produces a short video highlighting some aspect of the work being done to share the gospel. These WELS Connections keep us up to date and encourage us in our support of the work of the synod by showing us what is being accomplished.

If the WELS website has not updated to the most recent Connection for the month, a YouTube search often turns up the most recent one.

Freedom for the Captives

Freedom for the Captives seeks to empower the Christian community to respond with excellence to the sin of child abuse. They provide resources to pastors, teachers, and lay Christians that will deepen their understanding of child abuse and improve the Christian response to the physical, emotional and spiritual impact of maltreatment.
